The academic imprint

Indiastat Publications is formally established as the academic-publishing imprint. The Election Atlas reaches its fourth edition. Two peer-reviewed quarterly journals — the Indian Journal of Electoral Studies and the Indian Journal of Socio-Economic Studies — are announced for 2026 launch.

The Publishing Philosophy

Four principles.

The enduring foundations of
Indiastat Publications.
i.

Official data, faithfully compiled.

Every table, chart, map and statistic is drawn from official and authoritative sources. Our role is not to create data, but to compile, verify and present dispersed information in a structured and accessible form for researchers, policymakers and informed citizens.

ii.

Scattered information, systematically organised.

Government data often exists across numerous reports, departments and publications. We bring this information together and organise it according to meaningful political and geographical units—Parliamentary Constituencies, Assembly Constituencies, Districts, States and India as a whole—making complex information easier to access and understand.

iii.

Analysis rooted in evidence.

Beyond compilation, our publications provide carefully curated comparisons, trends and contextual insights derived from official data. Every observation is grounded in documented evidence, allowing readers to interpret patterns without losing sight of the original source material.

iv.

Reference works built for long-term use.

Each publication is designed as a dependable reference resource. Whether it is a Parliamentary Constituency Factbook, an Assembly Constituency Factbook, a District Factbook or an Election Atlas, the objective remains the same: to provide a credible, data-driven foundation for research, planning, policymaking and informed public discourse.
