On the editorial standard

How each Constituency Factbookiscompiled.

Every Constituency Factbookis built to the same nine-chapter editorial template, refreshed at each general election. The figures are drawn exclusively from secondary sources, every table is referenced to its origin and the methodology for any projection is stated on the page where it appears.

Where official data is silent, the silence is recorded. The Indiastat editorial standard does not paper over absent data — it tells you, plainly, what we know and what we do not.
